Las Vegas has been quite pricey in recent years. When planning for the trip in November, I searched for some cheap hotels on Priceline. I really wanted for us to stay at the Fontainbleau. I almost booked it, but Malia and Jared would be coming so that would cost more. I decided to book the Conrad. It looked like a nice hotel.
The parking was at a kiosk or online. The cost of parking was $21 per day and no refund. That would mean for 4 days it would cost $84, what a rip off.
Checking into the hotel was also difficult. There is only two workers at the front and they take forever to check you in. There is an online check in option but I think you have to book with the hotel. We tried, but since we booked on Priceline we couldn't find the correct confirmation number. Of note is the expensive resort fee which is $50 per day. I paid $200 for the resort fee.
Since we complained about online check in the guy at the front upgraded us to the suite. Sweet! I do admit they have really great customer service at the Conrad.
Like many Vegas hotels, the elevators take you to different areas of the hotel. Since we had a suite, we had to take a different set of elevators to our room. The room was nice especially the shower. However it is not big enough for the 4 of us, maybe when the kids were small. In the future, we will have to book 2 hotel rooms.
The Conrad is connected to two other hotels; the Hilton and the Crockfords and the area is known as Resorts World. Ironically, Quincy and Anthony were staying at the Hilton. We met up with them for breakfast on day 2. Even though the food court was expensive, they had good food. I ate the avocado toast at Sun's Out Bun's Out.
Near the food court is the gambling area. They have some new slot machines and I really enjoyed playing the machine even though I loss a few hundred of dollars.
The shopping at Resort World seemed pricey so we didn't buy anything.
